This intensive two-day course is meticulously designed to equip pest management professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the Entomological Society of America’s (ESA) Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) certification exam. The ACE certification is widely recognized as a prestigious mark of excellence, demonstrating a commitment to the science and practice of entomology.

Day 1 (May 6th) — Core Entomology and Pest Identification
Focus: The foundational aspects of entomology.
Topics Covered:
Insect anatomy, physiology, and taxonomy.
Identification techniques for common pests.
Understanding the life cycles of pests.
Objective: Participants will gain a solid understanding of insect basics and the ability to identify prevalent pests.
Day 2 (May 7th) - Pest Management Methods and Review:
Focus: Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
Agenda:
IPM principles, including prevention, monitoring, and control methods.
Comprehensive review of pesticide safety and regulations.
Tips for effective pest management.
Goal: Participants will learn practical approaches to managing pests while minimizing risks to people, property, and the environment.
Day 3 (May 8th) - ACE Exam Day (Reserved for Applicants):
Eligibility: Only for those who have applied to take the ACE exam.
Cancellations received no later than Wed May 1, 2024, will be issued a refund minus a $25.00 administrative fee. If a cancellation or refund becomes necessary, please submit a Cancellation or Refund Request.
