Birding the Border Photography Contest – Feature Bird: Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
Celebrate our 2026 feature bird, the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher by entering the Birding the Border Photography Contest!
Open to birders and photographers of all ages, this contest invites both youth and adults to submit their best photos of this iconic Texas species.
- Each photo must feature a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.
- You do not have to be a Birding the Border participant to enter.
- Adult entries cost $5 per photo which directly supports Rio Diablo Youth Birding Camp scholarships. Youth entries are free.
- Prizes will be awarded to the top three photos in both the Youth and Adult categories.

Notes:
- Winners will be announced at the 2026 Birding with Extension Dinner on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
- First, second, and third-place awards will be given in both categories.
Note: Submit only one entry per registration. If you need to submit photos for both yourself and a child, please complete a separate registration for each.
