Join us for a hands-on Veterinary Science Camp designed for youth ages 12–18 who are interested in animals, veterinary medicine, and careers connected to animal science.

During this three-day camp, participants will explore what it is like to work in the veterinary and animal care fields through interactive lessons, guest speakers, animal-focused activities, and real-world experiences. Youth will learn basic veterinary skills, explore animal anatomy through dissection, hear from professionals in the field, and gain confidence working around different types of animals.

Camp activities may include:

• Exploring veterinary and animal science career paths
• Learning basic animal anatomy through hands-on dissection
• Practicing animal care skills, safety, and handling techniques
• Hearing from guest speakers in veterinary and animal-related careers
• Visiting or learning from real-world animal care settings
• Participating in an equine-focused day centered on horse care, safety, and handling

What to Wear:
Closed-toe shoes and long pants.  

Requirements:
Complete registration forms and waivers

Transportation:
May be provided for off-site visits

• Over-the-Counter Medication Parent Guardian Authorization, Waiver, & Consent
• Texas 4-H Youth Development Code of Conduct
• Camp & Enrichment Program Waiver, Indemnification, and Medical Treatment Authorization form
