2024 Pesticide Applicator Training for Public Health
Multiple Dates and Locations
The objective of this project is to develop and implement a training program that works toward certification for noncommercial political subdivision pesticide applicators responsible for mosquito control in Texas.
Educational training program for employees of political subdivisions involved in mosquito control.
Program topic areas will correspond to federal and state laws and regulations as mandated by licensing authority to include:
Federal laws
State laws
Toxicology
Exposure
Residues
Pesticide labels
Environmental concerns
Pesticide formulations
Principles of safety
And other topics as necessary to prepare participants for state licensing exams.
Registration includes:
Breakfast and Lunch (day 1 & 2 only)
Manuals and all preparation for testing will be provided, as well
NOTE:
Attendance is mandatory for both days.
Attendees must work for a political subdivision of the state of Texas or a federal agency operating in Texas.
