The “More Bass, Less Grass” virtual field day is a six hour online field day covering aquatic vegetation identification, strategies and regulations for aquatic vegetation management, using herbivorous fish as an IPM strategy, pond site selection, fish stocking strategies, fish management strategies, and electrofishing and aquatic herbicide application demonstrations by pond and lake management companies and vendor spotlights for pond management products so attendees can learn more about the products available for use in their management plans.
This virtual program will be hosted on Zoom and all registrants will receive a PDF file of presentations (copyrighted, not for reuse).
Zoom link will open at 8:30 a.m. for time to check your microphone. There will be a one-hour break for lunch at noon when speakers may be answering questions.
Available Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)
This program will offer 5 CEUs for Texas pesticide license holders who attend the program live.

The More Bass, Less Grass Virtual Field Day Supporter is available for a cost of $300 and includes the following for the virtual event held on February 7, 2026:
Sponsors will be mentioned in all press releases regarding the event.
All sponsor logos will be included in the sponsor section of all AquaExtension Newsletters and emails sent to email subscribers promoting the event.
All sponsor logos will be placed on each topic’s introduction slides before each session and during introductions, breaks, and the conclusion.
Sponsors get up to 3 free participants to the event (this is a way for employees to get all their required CEUs for applicator licensing renewal if desired)
A 3-5 minute in-person, prerecorded, or product slide presentation regarding their company’s products and services offered.
Note: Title sponsorships are on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 5 sponsors for this event.
Terms and Conditions
The term of this sponsorship is currently through February 7, 2026.
This sponsorship is non-exclusive. It is possible (and, often likely) that competing companies or organizations may also be sponsors.
Sponsorship does not include any right or input with regard to content or topic selection.
Sponsorship does not indicate an endorsement by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension or Dr. Todd Sink or Brittany Chesser of the Sponsor or any of the Sponsor’s products. This will be stated on the sponsor page.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension reserves the right to refuse sponsorship funds from any business or organization that we would deem inappropriate to be associated with extension programs and services.
