The Multistate Research Project S-1069: Research and Extension for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Applications in U.S. Agriculture and Natural Resources Meeting will be held on March 1-2, 2018. Day 1 will feature break-out sessions for sub-groups to review project objectives, identify research needs, prioritize efforts, and have individualized discussions based on topic areas. Day 1 will conclude with a tour and a UAV demonstration at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Farm (buses provided for out-of-town attendees) and a networking opportunity mixer at a local restaurant in the evening. Day 2 will feature University updates (10 min each) on activities overlapping with multistate objectives.
Parking is available in the University Center Garage (UCG) located on S. Houston St. Hourly rates apply. Maximum rate per day is $15.
There is a block of reserved rooms at The George - Luxury A&M Alumni Hotel for $129/night for S1069 Multistate UAS Research Project under group code SMURP217. This hotel offers airport and local shuttle services, complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, and a continental breakfast. A limited number of rooms are available at The George. Reservations can be made until February 27, 2018.
It is optional for attendees to present posters at the mixer on Thursday evening. Please indicate at registration whether you will present. Graduate students and other Texas A&M individuals involved in UAS research are invited to attend this networking opportunity and Day 2 of the meeting.
