2019 Engaging Rural Communities Conference
Our Texas landscapes are changing, by population, by resources, politically, environmentally, socially, and financially. Rural Texas remains at the heart of what we love about our home state. Engaging rural communities require positive, driven attitudes, a vast array of new knowledge, and a set of skills put into action by a collaboration of active citizens. We love our small towns, their histories and their quaint existence. The future of Texas is indeed changing, and with it, the potential for the places we love to become increasingly urban, or even ghostly quiet. When we are engaged in our communities, our collective resolve makes the impossible possible. There can be a vibrant future for small town Texas, if we put our heads together and open discussions about what matters. The 2019 Engaging Rural Communities Conference will energize you, connect you to rural-focused resources, widen your definition of 21st Century rural leadership, and allow for discussion about what we should be doing to improve our quality of life. Come hear success stories, gain a greater understanding of the power of the Texas Rural Leadership Program, and remind yourself that it is often a handful of people that lead the way to a bright future.
Our Mission: to create and deliver engaging, effective leadership development opportunities for rural Texas.
