IPM Experience House provides regular classroom and hands-on training courses for persons in the pest control industry. On May 28 we will host a class to provide essential information for pest control technicians providing mosquito control services to the public. Topics to be covered include: an introduction to mosquitoes and the diseases they transmit; the role and tools of surveillance; how to conduct a backyard mosquito inspection, and general methods of mosquito control. In addition, we will use microscopes to look at different mosquito life stages and species. Hands-on demonstrations will be conducted with various sprayers and applicators. Lunch will be provided. Registration is open until the day of the class; however, class size is limited to 21, so register early.
