Managing Use of Alternative Water for Irrigation

This one-day, 8-hour course is designed to complement the Permitting of Alternative Water for Irrigation Course, which provides an overview of current water reclamation projects, covers existing laws and regulations governing reclaimed water use, discusses source water quality and demonstrates how to calculate a site water balance.

Managing Use of Alternative Water for Irrigation includes in-depth instruction on the issues that affect landscape irrigation success with reclaimed water. As availability of and access to reclaimed water grows, landscape irrigation professionals will face new challenges and become more responsible for ensuring environmental health and public safety through proper design, installation, and management. This course is designed for licensed irrigators who design, install, maintain and management landscape irrigation systems utilizing reclaimed water originating from domestic wastewater treatment facilities..

Course is approved by TCEQ for 8 CEU's for Licensed Landscape Irrigators, Technicians and Inspectors. Additionally Texas Registered Professional Engineers can receive 8 Professional Development Hours.

Lunch is not provided. Students should bring appropriate materials for taking notes in the class. A calculator may be needed.
